Notice on Establishment of Naboo Life IACUC (Experimental Animal Management and Use Committee)

Various departments： In order to strengthen the management and use of experimental animals within our unit, and to ensure the effective implementation of the welfare and ethical standards for experimental animals, in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and policy requirements, after thorough research, it has been decided to establish the Wuhan Nabao Life Science Technology Co., Ltd. Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, abbreviated as IACUC). The following are the relevant matters to be notified: 


I. Committee Responsibilities
1. Responsible for reviewing the plans of all research projects, teaching activities, and other related activities conducted by the unit, ensuring that they comply with the requirements of animal welfare and ethics for experiments; 
2. Supervise the entire process of animal breeding, management, use, and disposal, ensuring the living conditions and welfare standards of the experimental animals, and minimizing their suffering and harm. 
3. Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of the experimental animal facilities within the unit to ensure that they meet the standards and requirements for the breeding and use of experimental animals. 
4. Organize training and educational activities on the welfare and ethics of laboratory animals, to enhance the awareness and sense of responsibility of all employees towards the protection of laboratory animals. 
5. Handle complaints and disputes related to the welfare and ethics of laboratory animals, and propose improvement measures and suggestions. 


II. Committee Composition
The IACUC is composed of the following individuals: 
1. Chairman: Ma Chunhui, Chairman, is fully responsible for the leadership and management of the committee; 
2. Veterinarian: Zhou Shuang, a licensed veterinarian, possesses expertise and skills in experimental animal medicine. She is responsible for providing professional advice and guidance on animal health and welfare. 
3. Researcher: Dai Chong, the head of the laboratory, has extensive research experience and professional knowledge. He is familiar with the application of experimental animals in research and is responsible for reviewing the scientific and rationality of the experimental plans. 
4. Non-research personnel: Qin Qiong, Assistant to the Chairman, represents the departments or groups within the organization that are not related to research, and from various perspectives, pays attention to the welfare and ethical issues of laboratory animals. 
5. Public Members: Ren Gang, a member of the public from outside the organization, represents the public interest and supervises the implementation of the laboratory animal work of this unit. 


III. Working Procedures
The IACUC holds regular meetings, usually once every six months. In case of any special circumstances, meetings can be convened temporarily. 
For the experimental project proposals submitted for review, the committee should complete the initial review within 7 working days after receiving the application, and provide the initial review feedback to the applicant. The applicant should make revisions and improvements based on the feedback within the specified time and submit the re-review. 
The committee's review of the experimental project plan is conducted through a voting process. The plan can only be approved if it receives the consent of more than 50% of the committee members. 
IV. Other Matters
1. All project leaders and staff members of this unit who are involved in experiments with animals must abide by the relevant regulations of the IACUC and actively cooperate with the committee's work; 
2. The working funds for the IACUC are specifically allocated by the institution to ensure the smooth operation of all the committee's activities.
